THE Yuletide magic captured by the award-winning Kinder Children’s Choirs of the High Peak in carols and songs will again spread across the region this year.
There is a last minute change of venue for the first of the choir’s Christmas concert, at Tideswell this Saturday December 4, at 7.30pm.
Boiler problems at Tideswell Parish Church have meant that the concert has been switched to the nearby Tideswell United Reformed Church, on Parke Road.
All Kinder choirs will be involved in the massed sound of more than 100 voices. Tickets are available in advance at Tideswell Post Office.
On Friday December 10, Kinder Youth Choir will perform in aid of the NSPCC in a sold-out concert at Capesthorne Hall, Cheshire, and on Friday, December 17, the choirs present their popular Carols by Candlelight concert at Chapel-en-le-Frith Methodist Church, Town End, at 7.30pm.
The choirs’ colourful family Christmas concert at the Octagon, Pavilion Gardens, Buxton, takes place on Saturday afternoon, December 18, at 4pm and will feature appearances by Eeyore the celebrity donkey and Father Christmas.
Tickets for all High Peak concerts are available from Jean Forrest 01663 743041, or for the Buxton concert from Brooke-Taylor, 4 The Quadrant, Buxton, or on the door at Tideswell and Buxton Pavilion Gardens.
