Hathersage Memorial Hall was originally purchased in 1928 for the people of the village and after it's refurbishments, was opened as a War Memorial Hall in 1929 - celebrated by a village dance.
The latest refurbishment was completed in 2007 after other extensions and improvements had been applied to it.
The Memorial Hall is now run in conjunction with
Hathersage Parish Council and has a committee of elected members and representatives that make full use of the facilities it provides which include a main hall and stage; a smaller hall - Lawrence Hall, and the Sampson room which is ideal for small meetings.
There are kitchen facilities; toilets are available and there is a full range of disabled access and toilet provisions, making the venues ideal for jumble sales, children's parties, sports clubs, private functions, wedding receptions, concerts etc.
